Rudolf “Rudy” John of Ontario, passed away Saturday evening, February 6, 2021, at Elmcroft of Ontario at the age of 85.

He was born January 1, 1936, in Yugoslavia. Rudy was formerly employed at Leppert Machine for many years, was a hard worker, and later retired from Tri-R Tooling. He kept alive his heritage through his long time membership of over 50 years at the Mansfield Liederkranz. Rudy was very involved with the Liederkranz serving as a soccer coach and on the Board of Directors. He and his loving wife, Maria, were members of the Senior German Dance Club.

Rudy was a family oriented man who was funny and very witty. He was a world traveler and enjoyed playing Euchre with his family and friends.

He is survived by a son, Robert John (Annette Windsor); five grandchildren, Heidi, Andrea (Donnie) Barr, Christian, Kayla (Will) Gandert and Kyle (Kera Hiles); five great-grandchildren; a sister, Stephanie Ruschiwal; a brother-in-law, John (Maria) Huprich; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Huprich John; parents, Josef and Eva (Bugadjija) John; and a son, Rudy John in 2006.

Private family services will be observed. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
