CRAWFORD COUNTY — A female passenger died and several other people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at 11:09 a.m. on U.S. 30, east of Ohio 598, according to the CCSO, which didn’t release identifications of anyone involved in a press release emailed just before 6 p.m.
Sheriff Scott Kent, Chief Deputy Chad Filliater and deputies responded to the scene, along with members of the Crestline Fire Department, Galion Fire Department and Jefferson Township Fire Department.

According to the CCSO, one female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other male passengers inside the same vehicle were seriously injured and were in “critical condition” on Saturday evening.
Two other juvenile males inside the vehicle sustained minor injuries and the driver of the vehicle had no injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
The driver and injured passengers were transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital for further treatment and evaluation, the CCSO said.
Three other involved people in two other vehicles were not injured in the crash, according to the press release.
Ronk’s Towing was called to the scene and removed one vehicle. The other involved vehicles were able to be driven from the scene without incident.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Galion Fire Department, Crestline Fire Department, Jefferson Township Fire Department, Crawford County Coroner’s Office, Ohio Department of Transportation, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement Unit.
The crash remains under investigation and no further information was available Saturday evening, the CCSO said.
