Elvira "Ellie" Hollar

Elvira “Ellie” Hollar, 68, of Mansfield, passed away early morning, Friday, February 5, 2021. She was born March 13, 1952, in Yugoslavia to Stefan and Eva (Gruber) Juhasz.

She retired on May 20, 2017, from Therm-O-Disc after 46 years of service beginning in June 1970 at the age of 18. Elvira had a servant’s heart and was always taking care of everyone else. A very giving woman and hard worker, she was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Elvira had a huge laugh and was a very funny lady. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends having lunches and dinners. Attending the ball games of her grandchildren was one of her favorite pastimes.

She is survived by her husband, Kyle “Mike” Hollar; son, Eric Hollar; granddaughter, Chloe Hollar; step granddaughter, Alexis (Aaron) King; step great-grandson, Maddox King; a brother, Ervin (Elizabeth) Juhasz; a sister, Linda (Terry) Sweet; mother, Eva Juhasz; five nieces and nephews, Nickolas Juhasz, Brigette Juhasz, Autumn (Andrew) Herder, Tyler Sweet, and Emily Sweet; a brother-in-law, Bruce Hollar; niece, Carly Hollar; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 104 W. First St., Mansfield. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

In adhering to the governor’s mandate, all guests are required to wear a face covering and maintain appropriate social distancing during their visit.
