Debra Kay Caugherty, 67, of Lucas, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at her residence following an eight-year battle with muscular dystrophy.
Through all the pain and difficulties with health issues she ran the good race and kept her strong faith in Jesus Christ.
She was born Nov. 13, 1948 in Mansfield, to the late Earl and Pauline (Desterhaft) Rondy. She was employed as a supervisor at RGIS and enjoyed being outdoors.
Deb is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tom Caugherty; a daughter, Allison (Kevin) Haggerty; a son, Aaron (Rebecca) Caugherty; and two granddaughters, Madison and McKenna Haggerty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Don Rondy.
The family would like to send a special thank you for all the love and support from her God-sent friend, Anna Pendleton.
The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at New Hope Church, 637 N. Market St., Loudonville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
