The Madison Lady Rams hosted Lexington in a Thursday night matchup. A home crowd saw the Lady Rams topple their southern OCC rival, 64-38.
Madison commanded the game, pushing the margin as high as 63-31 late in the fourth. The game also saw the Lady Rams deal devastating 20-0 run.
The Lady Rams cashed in 20 Lexington turnovers for 26 points. Lady Lex picked up 20 turnovers but recovered just 11 points from Madison’s mistakes.
Madison won the battle of the boards, out rebounding Lexington 45-30.
Fantasia Hood led the game and the Lady Rams with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Teammate Molea Thompson adde 17 points and 7 assists. Mekaila Grose posted 9 points and 14 rebounds.
For Lady Lex, Alex Fitzpatrick posted 11 points. Kelly Rhodes followed with 9 points and 7 rebounds.
OCC action continues for both teams as Madison hosts Wooster and Lexington hosts Mansfield Sr. on Saturday, Jan. 25.
