The public is invited to a free presentation and reenactment of “Meet Robert Porterfield: a Soldier in Washington’s Army“. It will be hosted at the Crestline Historical Museum, 400 Scott Street, on Sunday, May 17 at 3:00. The presenter will be Lance Beebe. Enjoy touring the Crestline Historical Museum from 2:00-4:00. A feature display is the 36 foot mahogany pharmaceutical unit from 1903 that was in Trory’s Drug Store in Crestline. There is something for everyone at the Crestline Museum including railroad, pioneer farming, sports, military, antique, and more. Youth Orchestra & Strings: Spring Concert

Join us for a powerful celebration of youth, talent, and music at the combined Mansfield Symphony Youth Orchestra and Youth Strings Spring Concert—the culminating performance of the season. Under the direction of Stephen Domka and Alora Eyerly, this inspiring event brings together more than 100 young musicians from across North Central Ohio in a moving display of artistry and dedication.
The Youth Strings, comprised of students in grades 6–10, will showcase the growth and collaboration that define their year-long journey through ensemble performance. Since 1992, this program has provided foundational musical education in a supportive and enriching environment.
The Youth Orchestra, made up of high school students from a 12-county region, will present an exciting program that includes the winners of this year’s concerto competition. As the only youth orchestra within a 65-mile radius, it provides invaluable performance opportunities to students—many from schools without a full orchestra program.
Don’t miss this uplifting and unforgettable evening at the Renaissance Theatre, where the next generation of musicians takes center stage!

Lexington, Ohio — The Lexington, Ohio Farmers Market is excited to announce its 2026 season, located in the heart of the community beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2026, and running weekly through October 14, 2026. The market will be held every Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Lexington–Shelby Elks Lodge #2554 & Common Ground Training parking lots, located at 320 E. Main St., Lexington, OH.
The 2026 season will feature a vibrant mix of local farmers, growers, bakers, makers, and artisans, offering fresh produce, cottage foods, handmade goods, and unique small‑business products. The Market’s mission is to support local agriculture, strengthen community connections, and provide residents with access to fresh, locally sourced options.
“We’re thrilled to launch the Lexington, Ohio Farmers Market this year,” said organizers of the Lexington, Ohio Farmers Market, Caitlin Duncan owner of Wild Acre located in Lexington, Ohio and Erin Slusher owner of Petal & Stem Greenhouse and Nursery located in Mansfield, Ohio. “We hope to create an atmosphere that feels like the best of Lexington—friendly, welcoming, and full of local pride. Experience an outdoor glass exhibit where luminous sculptures take flight
Glass in Flight 2 presents the work of nationally acclaimed artist Alex Heveri in a breathtaking outdoor exhibition at Kingwood Center Gardens. Inspired by the natural world, her larger-than-life sculptures celebrate pollinators in luminous Dalle de verre glass that shifts and glows with the changing light.
Guests will explore more than 40 sculptures set across Kingwood’s gardens, including the fan-favorite Monarch Archway, now reimagined to soar 15 feet high with six large-scale Monarchs perched on steel-crafted milkweed branches. Several brand-new works by Alex will make their first-ever appearance at Kingwood.
Glass in Flight has captivated visitors at leading destinations across the country, including Tucson Botanical Gardens, Reiman Gardens, Houston Botanic Garden, Atlanta Botanical Garden, and San Antonio Zoo.

Purse Wet Felting Class

Design and create a one-of-a-kind felted purse! In this class we will using the wet felting method which is achieved using warm soapy water and natural fiber. You will be making a template, layering wool roving or batts around the template, adding warm, soapy water, and then doing lots of rubbing, patting, and rolling. The warm water opens the scales on the fiber, and the friction applied causes the fiber to felt, creating a lovely and durable fabric.
No felting needles and no knitting is involved in this type of felting, and no experience is required to have a great time creating a unique felted purse.
Age Guidelines
This class is designed for participants ages 16 and older. Youth ages 12–15 are welcome to attend when registered with an adult companion who is also enrolled in the class.
Included in Fee
All materials needed for project and use of wet felting tools in class are included in class fee.
Please Bring to Class
Please bring a towel, sharpie, and a pair of scissors. You might also consider bringing an apron or wearing clothes you don’t mind possibly getting wet.
Class Time
Class will begin at 1pm and finish about 4pm.
