• casting on
• knitting
• purling
• casting off
• weaving in ends
• finishing your project

This is the perfect class if you’ve never knitted before, or if it’s been years since you last picked up needles and just need a refresher.

You’ll get started on an Easy Mistake Stitch Scarf. Using only knits and purls, the mistake rib stitch is a wonderful beginner project. It’s super easy to remember, with just a one-row repeat, making it relaxing, enjoyable knitting you don’t have to overthink. The result is a lofty, squishy fabric that looks far more complicated than it actually is!

Fee includes two skeins of Snuggle, a soft alpaca blend yarn. Knitting needles available to purchase or bring your own.

This class meets on two different days, with time in between to practice what you’ve learned and build confidence before the second session.

No previous knitting experience is required.

In this class, you’ll learn the art of needle felting and how to create a design on a piece of fabric. Choose a pattern from our selection or create your own. You’ll learn how to transfer a design to fabric, fill it in with roving, and needle felt the fiber into place. You can also skip the pattern altogether and let your design evolve naturally.

We’ll be working on upholstery fabric samples in a variety of weights and textures—some with woven patterns that can even become part of your felted artwork. This simple and beginner-friendly approach gives you a great understanding of the needle felting process, and the sky is the limit when it comes to what you create!

Finishing options are described on our website and can be completed at home.
