MaryAnn Workman Howard, 88, passed into the Lord’s presence Saturday morning, Feb. 27, 2016 from Heartland of Bucyrus.
She was born Mary Ann Shrader, May 21, 1927 in McComas, West Virginia to parents Harry E. and Minnie S. (Odle) Shrader. Mary Ann spent most of her life in the Lexington area, and worked as a receptionist and telephone operator with Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield.
She was a member of LifeWay Community Church in Bucyrus.
Mary Ann enjoyed reading and sewing and traveling, with some favorite destinations of Europe and Hawaii, but none of them topped Alaska – she loved seeing Alaska!
She will be remembered for her fashion sense, class, and tremendous love for her family.
Her family includes her sons T. Bruce and Paula Workman, of Bucyrus, and Stephen C. Workman, of Bellville; grandchildren Shanna (Chris) Page-Perreault, of Bellville, Shane (Fiancée Georganna Shelton) Workman, of Iberia, Caleb (fiancée Katie Benedict) Workman, of Bucyrus, Cana Ann Workman, of Delaware, and Candace and Matt Kalb, of Bucyrus; seven great grandchildren; Jacob, Stormi, Madisen, Elizabeth, Payton, Logan, Cali. two great great grandchildren; Nova, Abigail and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 47 years, Truman Workman, in 1994, and by her second husband Hugh Bernard Howard, in 2010. Also deceased are her sisters Sue Moore and Isabel Veals.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 11 a.m., led by her son Bruce Workman. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
