MANSFIELD — Richland Academy of the Arts has recently expanded their music department with new private lesson instructors to ensure that students wanting to learn a new instrument have every opportunity to do so.

Private music lessons are now available for: voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, fiddle, trumpet, flute, piccolo, clarinet, saxophone, bagpipes, and percussion.

“Having music options like the ones we have at Richland Academy is exciting for this area,” stated Alli Lange, Richland Academy of the Arts Marketing Coordinator. “With so many schools struggling to find ways to keep their choral and instrumental programs running in the midst of COVID-19, we are offering another option so that children do not have to miss out on their journey in music.”

Richland Academy is offering the following private music lesson options:

Voice Lessons: Audrey Lee-Strohm, Alli Lange, Erin Wolford, Rachel Albrecht.

Piano Lessons: Beginner Piano with Alli Lange; Beginner Piano with Helga Rein; Beginner and Advanced Piano with Alicia Porter; Piano with Audrey Lee-Strohm; Piano with Diego Santamaria.

Strings Lessons: Violin, Viola, Fiddle, and Cello with Helga Rein; Guitar and Ukulele with Diego Santamaria. 

Woodwinds Lessons: Flute and Piccolo with MacKenzie Cole; Clarinet, Saxophone, and Beginner Flute with Rachel Albrecht; Bagpipes with Harvey McGowen.

Brass Lessons: Advanced Trumpet with Erik Gimbel; Beginner Trumpet with Alli Lange. 

Percussion Lessons: Elizabeth Procopio.

Richland Academy of the Arts will continue offering scholarships and tuition assistance to families who qualify. Financial aid applications are due Sept. 4 and can be picked up at Richland Academy or found on the website.
