Property transfers: ArcelorMittal purchases former bank building in Shelby

SHELBY — ArcelorMittal Tubular Products USA LLC purchased a former bank building at 85 West Main St. for $280,000, according to recent property transfer records.

The property was purchased from Oak Ridge Land CO. LLC, who originally bought the parcels in July 2025.

In an email response, ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Executive Assistant/Communications Coordinator Ashley Canfield said the company would not be commenting on the matter.

According to the company’s website, its Shelby plant is its largest facility in Ohio, and the steel and mining company operates at 24 locations across 13 countries.

The company website describes its Ohio facilities in Shelby and Marion as key contributors to its global operations, producing steel products for customers across multiple industries.
