MANSFIELD — The Ohio State University at Mansfield and North Central State College invite area employers to recruit students and graduates at their annual Internship Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Eisenhower Marketplace on the shared Mansfield campus.
The fair gives businesses a direct line to students and graduates seeking internships, part time employment and full-time career opportunities. Employers can showcase their organizations, promote open positions and connect face to face with potential candidates.
More than 20 employers have already registered, representing industries including health care, manufacturing, logistics, public safety, state agencies and nonprofit organizations.
Participating employers include Avita Health System, ArcelorMittal Tubular Products, ArtiFlex Manufacturing, Case Farms, Charter Next Generation, Estes Express Lines, Fastenal, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Richland County Juvenile Court, NAMI Richland County, The Salvation Army Mansfield Corps and The Village Network.
“Our job fair provides employers with a unique opportunity to connect with talented, motivated students who are preparing to enter the workforce,” said Veronna Drane, career development coordinator at Ohio State Mansfield.
“It’s not just about filling current openings. It’s about building relationships and developing a pipeline of future talent.”
Drane said the event benefits both employers and students while strengthening the regional workforce.
“Strong partnerships between employers and higher education create better outcomes for students, businesses and the region as a whole,” she said. “Our job fair is where those connections begin.”
Space is limited, and the fair typically reaches capacity. Employers are encouraged to register only if representatives can attend the full event.
Registration is available at Internship Fair Registration. Registered employers will receive additional event details following sign-up.
Students attending the fair are encouraged to bring copies of their résumés and dress professionally.
Employers will be recruiting for a variety of internships, part-time positions and full-time opportunities, making the event valuable for students at every stage of their academic journey.
“Our students have a lot of talent, and the fair is a great opportunity for employers to connect with someone who could be a great fit for their team,” said Alex Rathburn, an Ohio State Mansfield student and student board member.
“It’s a chance for students to build professional connections and for employers to discover future interns and employees.”
