Melodie Jeanne Williamson, 66, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on September 30, 1959, in Castro Valley, California, to the late Ronald Grau and Shirley Statham.

She graduated from Wynford High School with the Class of 1978 and went on to pursue college studies. Throughout her career, she worked as an assistant manager and office administrator, where she enjoyed building relationships with others and contributing to the success of her workplace through her dedication, organization, and strong work ethic.

Melodie married the love of her life, Daniel Williamson, on June 9, 1978. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion, building a beautiful family and raising their children and grandchildren: Amber, Aaron, Aliza, and Daniel, Joshua, and Elizabeth.

Melodie will be remembered for her creative spirit, curious mind, and deep appreciation for the beauty of the world around her. She found joy in painting and drawing, expressing herself through art and bringing color and imagination to those who knew her.

A lifelong lover of history, she enjoyed learning about the people, places, and events that shaped the past. Her curiosity often led her on adventures, especially throughout California, where she delighted in sightseeing.

Above all, Melodie loved the ocean. Whether watching the waves roll in, listening to the soothing sound of the surf, or simply taking in the endless horizon, she found peace and happiness by the sea.

Melodie’s creativity, sense of wonder, and love for nature leave a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Left to cherish Melodie’s memory are her beloved husband, Daniel Williamson; her children, Aaron Williamson, Aliza Williamson, and Elizabeth Williamson; her grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Katelyn, Nathan, Aaron, and Ava; her great-grandchildren, Callie and Carter; her siblings, Sheri Fortney and David (Ruby) Grau; her uncle, Mike Grau, and aunt, Jan Grau; her aunt, Linda Zeigler; and numerous cherished extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Melodie was preceded in death by her daughter, Amber Williamson.
