CRAWFORD COUNTY — A 50-year-old woman was arrested Monday on drug charges during a car stop by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies stopped a green Hyundai near the intersection of U.S. 30 and County Road 330 (East Junction), according to a press release by the sheriff’s office.

While running the license plate on the vehicle, deputies learned the registered owner had an active arrest warrant out of Richland County for possession of drugs.

Contact was made with the vehicle’s passenger, Susan Wilson, 50.

Wilson was placed under arrest for her active warrant and was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl.

The substance was taken as evidence and was field tested, returning to be positive for fentanyl, weighing approximately 11 grams.

Wilson was being held Monday at the Crawford County Justice Center for possession of drugs. Reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of additional charges, deputies said.

Sheriff Scott Kent, Lt. Craig Moser and Det. Tyler Winkelman encouraged citizens to report suspicious activity to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at (419) 562-7906 or leave a tip on the sheriff app or METRICH app.
