Branch of service: Army

We want to honor OUR Veteran and Father, David Bisel for his service and sacrifice. Dave served in Vietnam in the Army infantry. He was at Fort Jackson (SC) for basic training in May of 1969. From there, he went to Fort Benning (GA) for Advanced Infantry Training before transferring to Vietnam. While in Vietnam he pulled guard duty for 184th Ordinance, guarded an ammo dump in several locations, was moved to a tank farm and guarded fuel. Eventually his unit moved to a supply depot where he worked on trucks until he was shipped back stateside, processing out in Seattle, WA before returning to Shiloh, Ohio in 1970. Dave was able to go on an Honor Flight to Washington, DC in October of 2018. Dave currently resides in Shelby, Ohio and enjoys spending time with his large extended family, especially his 5 great-grandchildren. We are grateful for the service of all Veterans!
