Branch of service: Air Force Tech Sgt
Russell Patterson, my father, demonstrated unwavering commitment and service. During World War II, he was a radio operator on 35 missions from his base in England over the continent. He also served in the Pacific theater on fuel supply missions into China from India. These were all very dangerous missions. His heroic service, and that of thousands of other soldiers, have allowed us to live in freedom to this day, as well as to travel to and enjoy those parts of the world where he served.

Veterans Week is brought to you by Ralph Phillips VFW Post 291, Agent of VFW Ohio Charities. Join us in recognizing local heroes by submitting a tribute to a veteran in your life!
