Road Closings

MANSFIELD — Richland County Engineer Adam Gove has announced a couple of road closures that will impact local drivers on a couple of heavily-traveled thoroughfares.

Possum Run Road, between Touby Road and Trease Road in Washington Township, will be closed starting Tuesday, May 30, and will remain closed for 30 days. The closure will allow for a bridge replacement.

Mansfield-Lucas Road, between Hull Road and State Route 39 in Washington/Monroe Townships, will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30 through Thursday, June 1.

The lane closures will allow for pavement maintenance work. Traffic will be maintained, but drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to find an alternate route.

  1. This is ridiculous!! We live there and had to be detoured not once, not twice, but three times back and forth just to get home!! Whoever is in charge of this project should be fired immediately!!

  2. I certainly hope this post is “moderated” by the genius in charge of this mess of a project that caused damage to our vehicles
