MILLERSBURG — One woman is dead and three others were injured after a Holmes County crash on Sunday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Renee Troyer, 49, of Millersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Patrol stated. Laura L. Troyer, 32, of Millersburg, was flown by Metro Life Flight to Summa Health Center in Akron with serious injuries.
Two juveniles were passengers in the Jeep Cherokee and were flown to Akron Children’s
Hospital by Metro Life Flight and MedFlight in critical condition.
The incident took place on U.S. 62 near Township Road 626 at approximately 8:41 p.m.
The preliminary investigation indicates a blue, 2016 Honda Pilot was traveling westbound on U.S. 62 and a red, 2018 Jeep Cherokee was traveling eastbound U.S. 62. The Honda traveled left of center and struck the Jeep in the eastbound lane of U.S. 62. After impact, the Honda came to rest on the southbound berm of U.S. 62 and the Jeep came to rest on the northbound berm of U.S. 62.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the East Holmes Fire & EMS,
Millersburg EMS, MedFlight, Metro Life Flight, ODOT & Rigz Towing.
The crash is currently still under investigation.
