Clara Juanita Askey, 92, passed away at Arbors of Mifflin on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
Clara was born on February 28, 1930 in Mansfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of Emmet and Clara (Zellner) Casler. She retired from Therm-O-Disc. Clara enjoyed crocheting. She was a lifelong member of Mansfield Baptist Temple.
Clara is survived by her children, Joy (Daniel) Baker, Barbara (Steve) Magier, Sheri Shaver, and Robert Hostetler; 7 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Phyllis (Eugene) Drummond, Shirley (Leonard) Payne, and Kathy Farmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Askey; her sisters, Alverda Amend and Ruth Standiford; her brothers, Emmet Casler and John Casler; and her brother-in-law, Edwin Farmer.
Family and friends may visit from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Mansfield Baptist Temple, 752 Stewart Rd. N. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the church. Clara will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Memorial Park Cemetery.
