MANSFIELD — Shady Lane Alpacas will have an open house to celebrate National Alpaca Days on Sept. 26 & 27 from noon to 6 p.m.
The farm is located at 3073 Gass Road Lexington Ohio 44904 just outside of Lexington near Clear Fork Reservoir.
The free, family-friendly event includes folks demonstrating how to use alpaca fiber and the bean pot will be on, along with homemade cornbread.
Other features include Mr. & Mrs. Moo miniature Zebu’s, a miniature pony unicorn and a blacksmith will be demonstrating the trade.
Dr Balthasar from the 1830’s may make an appearance with his magical elixir. Banjo and fiddle music under the big oak tree will take place throughout the days.
