BELLVILLE — Clear Fork surrendered 396 yards to River Valley on Friday night at the Colt Corral, dropping a 25-13 decision in a Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference game.

The loss dropped the Colts to 0-2. River Valley improved to 2-0.

RV sophomore quarterback Cayden Shidone completed 16 of 26 passes for 193 yards and two TDs in the win. He also rushed 11 times for 62 yards for the Vikings.

Senior Luke Rogers got River Valley on the board first with 7:16 left in the first quarter on a 75-yard run.

Clear Fork came back quickly, tying the score at 7-7 just over a minute later on a 32-yard TD pass from QB Brady Tedrow to Ethan Staley.

The second quarter belong to Shidone and the Vikings. RV scored with 3:11 left in the period on a 3-yard pass from Shidone to Dylan Johnson and again with 1:09 left in the quarter on a 76-yard pass from Shidone to Karson Lang.

The gave River Valley a 19-7 lead at halftime.

Rogers, who led the Vikings with 132 yards on 16 carries, made it 25-7 with 2:31 left in the third quarter as he scored on a 14-yard run.

Tedrow, who rushed for 90 yards on 25 carries, closed the scoring with a 4-yard run with 4:25 left in the final quarter.

Senior Ashton Lyon rushed for 94 yards on 15 carries for Clear Fork, which ran for 225 yards, but only passed for 32.

UP NEXT: River Valley, which knocked off Galion in week one, hosts 0-2 Ontario Friday night. Clear Fork hosts Galion (1-1) next Friday.
