ASHLAND — A Medina woman was killed Sunday in a motorcycle crash in Montgomery Township, according to the Ashland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Patricia Strickland, 68, died at the scene of the crash, Troopers said after the crash on U.S. Route 42 near Township Road 653 at approximately 1:37 p.m.
The Patrol reported that Cade Strickland, 68, of Medina, was southbound on a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was accompanied by a rider on the motorcycle, Patricia Strickland. The motorcycle went off the right side of the road, striking a driveway access. After striking the driveway access, both occupants were ejected from the motorcycle.
Cade Strickland was transported to Ashland Samaritan and then transported to Akron City Hospital.
Drugs and Alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the traffic crash. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The Ashland Post of the Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland Fire/Ems and Gibb’s Towing.
The traffic crash remains under investigation.
