LOUDONVILLE – The Board of Trustees of the Mohican Area Community Fund (MACF) has re-elected Brian Hartzell as president, Brian Hinkle as vice president, Erin Frankford as treasurer and Jennifer Portz as secretary for 2018.

Hartzell is a retired fundraising and public relations consultant who will be serving his fourth year as president. Hinkle is president of Farmers and Saving Bank in Loudonville. Frankford is a loan office specialist at Farmers and Savings Bank. Portz is the main office secretary at the Loudonville/Perrysville High School.

Elected to new three-year terms on the Board of Trustees are: Jane Poulson Stoops, a part-time microbiology technologist at The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center in Columbus where she has served as manager of OSU’s Clinical Microbiology Lab since 2007. Jane was the co-chair and secretary/treasurer of the successful Loudonville Library Levy Committee in 2017.

Matt Young was also elected to a three-year term. He is a sales manager for Burgess Ambulance Sales, and is heavily involved with the area’s Masonic organizations. He’s a 32nd degree Mason and serves as the 5th Division Masonic President. Matt is well known for his musical abilities throughout the region.

Tom Lunt and Larry Burkepile retired from the board with MACF’s best wishes following distinguished service as board members for the past six years.

Re-elected to a second three-year term is Wende Lance, a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Ward Real Estate in Ashland. Other members of the board are Jim Brewer, Gayle Christopher, Jerry Dudte, Dr. Teresa Cooperrider, Angie Heffelfinger, Linda O’Brien, and Linda Snowbarger.

Now in its 43rd year, the MACF currently funds 35 local charities and other nonprofit organizations within Mohican Country that offer services in support of academic excellence, the arts, health and human services, youth sports and recreation, and recognition of our historic past. MACF’s service area encompasses the Villages of Loudonville and Perrysville, southern Ashland County, and adjacent townships in Holmes, Knox and Richland Counties.
