Jacqueline L. “Jackie” McBee, 44, Marengo, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jackie was born in Ashland, on July 16, 1972 to the late Joseph E. Harris and Dorothy M. (Wharton) Tesso, of Crestline.

Jackie lived in Marengo for about eight years coming from Lexington. She graduated from Madison High School, Class of 1990.

She was employed as a Manager of Cracker Barrel, at the Delaware/Sunbury store since July of 2006. Jackie didn’t just go to work, she enjoyed and was very passionate to perform her very best. Known as the “Queen Bee” Jackie had the entire family as her worker bees buzzing around her throughout her battle with cancer. She would be cheered on with “We know you can do this because you are the Queen Bee.” “The bee is more honored than other animals, not because she labors, but because she labors for others,” St. John Chrysostom.

Not only was Jackie known as the “Queen Bee”, but she was also the one among her family members and friends, known as “Super Jackie” our “Super Hero.” To all her family and friends, Jackie will be remembered as flying with her Super Cape. Jackie loved her two dogs, “Smokey” and “Buddy.” 

She is survived by her parents, Dorothy M. Tesso and William “Bill” Tesso, of Crestline, her daughter, Shandalle Wheeler, of Mansfield, her son, Skyler Flannigan, of Navarre, Florida, four grandchildren, Brooklyn Wheeler, Jacelynn Wheeler, Madison Flannigan, J.J. Flannigan, four sisters, Tammie and Mark Maddy, of Groveport, Crystal and Myke Thacker, of Crestline, B.J. and Dave Kaucher, of Columbia, South Carolina, Misty and Justin Grove, of Worthington, her fiancé, Rod Houghton, of Marengo, nieces and nephews, Samantha, Alexandria, MacKenzie, Kimberly, Jimmy, Derrick, and her great-nephew, Colt.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Tina Marie Rudish.

Friends may call Thursday May 25, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. They may also call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.
