MANSFIELD — Resumes and letters of interest are being accepted for an appointment to fill the vacancy in the Richland County Clerk of Courts position.
Applicants must be a resident of Richland County and a registered Republican.
The deadline to apply is May 15 by 5 p.m. The appointment meeting will be June 4.

Heidi Ewing of Ontario was appointed interim Clerk of Courts on April 21 by the Richland County Board of Commissioners. She has worked in the Clerk of Courts office for 31 years.
As of May 1, she replaced Denise Ruhl, who retired April 30 after being elected to a four-year term in November 2024.
The Richland County Republican Party Central Committee will consider Ewing and any other candidates on June 4 for the position. The party’s selection will be on the ballot for election in November to complete the unexpired term.
