Mary Martha Mack, 88, passed away, Monday April 10, 2017 at her home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Mack was born on Monday, Oct. 26, 1928 in Bessemer, Alabama and had been a resident of the community over 69 years. She was a former employee of Pittsburg Plate & Glass of Crestline, Ohio.
Mary was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church.
Mary is survived by her grandson Dijon Brooks, Chillicothe; an extended family (whom she made her home with) Alverta Carter-Williams and Ricardo Upchurch, both of Mansfield; Rita Upchurch, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana; two grandchildren Amil and Riley Upchurch; a special friend Bobbi Williams.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie, a daughter Deborah Ann Brooks, three sisters Carry Mae Minnifield, Lowduster Paige and Julia Stokes, a brother, Charles Young, a nephew, Arthur Paige and a special friend Chesterfield Carter Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Providence Baptist Church by her pastor Reverend Dr. Thomas Hunt. The family will receive friends at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
