Wesley E. “Wes” Poffenbaugh, 78, of Crestline, died Monday, April 10, 2017 at his residence, after a hard fought battle with cancer surrounded by his family.

Wes was born in Mansfield, on June 23, 1938 to the late Eugene W. and Nina M. (Pry) Poffenbaugh. He married Jacqueline “Jackie” Sue (Snavely) Poffenbaugh on Sept. 18, 1960 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2014.

Wes lived in the area all of his life. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Crestline. Wes was employed by Gorman-Rupp in Mansfield as a Prototype Machinist for 37 years, retiring in 1997.

He owned and operated East Side Mower and Repair Shop and farmed most of his life. Wes enjoyed parties in the park, eating breakfast with his cousins, and going to the Dairy Queen with his longtime friend, Dale Biglin. He loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his three daughters: Pam and Dan Lauer, of Crestline, Patty and Tim Robinette, of Crestline, Becky and Marc Milliron, of Crestline, nine grandchildren: Hope Foreman and Fiancé Marc Elliott, Kit Lauer, Josh and Shelly Friley, Jim Friley, Hastings and Rachael Robinette, Danielle Friley and Fiancé David Eberhardt, Megan Milliron and Fiancé Kelly Kleman, Abbey Robinette, Spencer Milliron, twelve great-grandchildren, and his sister, Norma and Dean Strohminger, Lexington.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Robyn L. Friley.

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, Crestline, with Pastor Becky Weamer officiating.
