Goldie M. Wireman, 80, Plymouth, passed away peacefully April 7, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio after a six-month illness.

She was born Virginia Goldie M. Stamper on June 7, 1936 to William and Vada (Brown) Stamper near Sandy Hook, Kentucky.

She moved to Shelby, Ohio in the 1940s and attended Shelby City Schools. She worked at the White House in Shelby, C.E. Ward, Co in New London and Pioneer Rubber Co. in Willard.

She loved visiting nursing homes, singing and playing her guitar and giving to anyone in need. She was blessed to sing and play on many recordings with her family. She loved to cook and serve her family whom she dearly loved, attend Southern Gospel concerts, travel and she especially loved reading the bible.

Her favorite flowers were red roses.

On March 26, 1955 she married the love of her life, David Wireman in Galion. They were Pastor and wife serving and presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ for nearly 40 years. In 1956 they founded the Empire Church of God in Mansfield, in 1959 the Shiloh Pentecostal Church in Shiloh and in 1970, they founded and built The Mills Road Church of God in Jesus’ Name in Plymouth where she remained a founding member.

Together they had three children, Sheila, Timothy and Terry.

Surviving are her daughter, Sheila (David) Tackett, of Plymouth; son, Terry Wireman, of Plymouth, and one daughter-in-law, Vicki Wireman, of Shiloh; six grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Tackett, of Willard, Kevin (Victoria) Tackett, of Plymouth, Eric Tackett, of New Haven, Kristle (Matthew) Leigh, of Canton, Daniel Wireman, of Shiloh, and Whitney Wireman, of Plymouth. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Leah, Ethan, and Emma Tackett; Logan, Lauren, and Lindyn Tackett; and Zoe and Gemma Leigh. She is survived by one sister, Della (Joe) Stepp, of Shelby, and one brother, David Lee (Elsie) Stamper, of Howard, Ohio, one sister-in-law, June Stamper, of Shelby, and one brother-in- law, Junior Armstrong, of Shelby, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and hundreds of friends and brothers and sisters in Christ whose lives she has touched along the way and especially her immediate church family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David Wireman in 1993; her son, Timothy W. Wireman in 2013; her siblings, infant sister, Lorene Stamper; infant brother, Joel Stamper; sister, Lois Armstrong, and brothers Dallas Stamper and Frank Stamper.

In the wishes of the family a private service will be observed at a later date. Friends may call at Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 3 to 7 p.m.
