MANSFIELD — The Blue Rose Mission is gearing up for a ninth season of making home repairs for its neighbors in Richland County.
Homeowners should submit an application soon, allowing time for Blue Rose Mission to talk with the homeowners regarding their need, review the scope of work, purchase materials, etc., before the 2017 work season begins.
BRM does not work on rental property or roofs. Repairs and improvements to mobile homes are limited to the exterior of the mobile home.
While Blue Rose Mission does home improvements of all sorts, including interior and exterior painting. Special consideration is given, however, to safety concerns such as absence of hand rails, unsafe stairs and external doors without a working lock.
BRM is a ministry partner of Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC). All calls for home repair help should be made to Love INC at 419-522-1432. Phones are answered Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9:30 a.m. and noon.
Those interested in forming a work group or being a part of an existing work group this summer for a period of two days up to two weeks are welcome.
