Dennis M. Hallabrin, 73, currently of Englewood, Florida, passed away at his home on Feb. 11, 2017, of natural causes.
Dennis was born in Mansfield, Ohio.
He attended school, lived and worked in Mansfield for many years. After his marriage to Maria F. Fiorani in 1970, he resided in Port Clinton, Ohio. He was a master hair stylist and for over 25 years was the owner of The Hairem beauty salon in Port Clinton, retiring in 1995, after moving to Bedford, Ohio.
Mr. Hallabrin was a veteran serving in the United States Navy, during his enlistment he did a world tour on the USS Ticondaroga. He was an avid sailor on Lake Erie and the east coast, and with his wife piloted his 42-foot sailboat through the Erie Barge Canal and down the east coast to Florida.
He was also an avid camper and animal lover. Mr. Hallabrin is survived by his wife of 47 years Maria Fiorani Hallabrin, and
his sister Barbara Hallabrin Sedlak, as well as a nephew and niece, Carl M. Mehl and Laurie King, and various cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy and Frederick Hallabrin, a nephew Scott A. Sedlak, and brother-in-law Richard Sedlak. His only child, Aaron T. Hallabrin 23, predeceased him in 1997.
Private cremation services were held in Englewood, Florida. Any donations may be made to the Humane Society of Port Clinton.
