MANSFIELD — The worlds of live music, tattoo culture, nightlife, and underground creativity will unite this summer when Maverick and SPIN join forces to present Inked & Amped.
The innovative, 21+ adult concert, community and lifestyle festival is slated for July 16 at The Mothership in Mansfield.
Forgoing polish and predictability, Inked & Amped: A Night of Music, Tattoos, Food and More will thrive on the energy of late nights, loud music, and a creative local connection.
Fueled by a gritty DIY spirit and the desire to bolster up-and-coming talent, this is the ideal Buckeye State gathering for those drawn to heavy sounds and after-dark culture.
Utilizing The Mothership’s indoor and outdoor stages, the event’s musical lineup will be long on local talent including Birds Cage, The Magnavox’s, Milkbone, Diminished 5th, Inpatient, and Under Substance.
Beyond Ohio, ascending regional talent like Detroit’s Electric Bug, and Nashville-based artists YearB4 and Wynton Existing will round out the evening’s bill of boisterous rock bands.
Tattoo enthusiasts won’t want to miss on-site activations from Northeast Ohio’s acclaimed War Horse Ink and Tattoo Kings of Columbus.
While taking in the area’s premier tattoo artists, patrons can stroll The Mothership’s outdoor Vendor Village, enjoying cocktails — including regional pours — and savoring food from a variety of area food trucks.
Choices abound from Mansfield’s new eatery Scotty’s Pizza, Truckin Trav (central Ohio’s mobile source for smash burgers and rice bowls), Panchos Tacos for authentic Mexican and caffeinated options from the How Ya Brewin’? coffee truck.
The Vendor Village will also highlight the magnificent wares of local makers from in and around the Mansfield area.
With local painters, craftspeople, jewelers and other artists, the community-driven atmosphere of the Inked & Amped marketplace make it an indispensable part of the gathering.
Late-night inside The Mothership, Inked & Amped will achieve lift-off with heavy, high octane rock & roll and immersive visuals.
Organizers have plans to film a live music video inside the venue during performances, adding yet another layer to an event designed to feel spontaneous, unfiltered, and distinctly underground.
Simply put, Inked & Amped intends to go far beyond the traditional music festival experience.
Count on music, ink, and nightlife to intersect on July 16 at The Mothership. It will be one of those “if you know, you know” nights you won’t want to miss.
