Martha C. Cole, 85, of rural Crestline passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 17, 1932 in Crawford County and was the daughter of Clyde and Julia (Christman) Winch. Martha is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Wilbur E. Cole whom she married on March 18, 1951.

She graduated from Galion High School in 1950 and worked for the Timken Company in Bucyrus for 34 years retiring as an inspector. Martha was a member of Grace Point in Galion, enjoyed reading and was a past 4-H advisor.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Bryan (Rhonda) Cole, of Crestline; daughter Susanne (Reed) Hiltner, of Ontario; three grandchildren Kyle Hiltner, of Columbus, Lauren (Will) Hoffmann, of San Antonio, Texas, and Andrea Cole, of Lafayette, Indiana; one great-grandson Asa Hoffmann; sisters Rosie Fetter, of Bucyrus, Florence Heffner, of Bradenton, Florida, Esther Armstrong, of Galion, and Joanne (Gerald) Haught, of Crestline; brother Mike (Linda) Winch, of Findlay, and numerous nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters Dawn Marie Cole and Rhonda D. Cole; a brother Charlie Winch and two sisters Margaret Eckert and Juanita Stewart.

There will be memorial calling hours from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will follow in Biddle Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fairway Waycraft Industries and Ohio Health Hospice in care of the funeral home.
