Christopher “Chris” Lane Byrne, 63, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, due to complications of diabetes.
He was born Feb. 28, 1953, in Mansfield, Ohio, to William Michael and Lois Marjean (Hershey) Byrne.
Chris was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shawn Byrne; three children, Caitlin, Patrick and Bridget Byrne; father, W. Michael Byrne; brothers, Brian (Carol) Byrne, Jeremiah Byrne and Terrence Byrne; sisters, Lynn Stone, Lisa (Michael) Bumb, Leslie (David) Eichinger, Laura (James) Weist; numerous nieces and nephews; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Byrne.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 104 W. First St., Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Father Gregory Hite will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Feed the Needy.
