MANSFIELD — Two award-winning musicians will be performing at Suzy’s Smoke Room on March 4.

Michelle Willis and Mike ‘Maz’ Maher won a 2014 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance and a 2016 honor for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. The group, a Canadian Screen Award winner, will be teaming for house party-feel show.

The artists come with help by Tarkington Johnson of S’yvelt, who has used his connection and friendship with their booking agent to swing the concert.

“Back in May of 2015, (S’yvelt) brought Cory Henry and the Fun Apostles here. Cory is a part of Snarky Puppy, a group of 30 plus musicians.

“Maz is one of the founding members and Michelle Willis is one of the extended family members.”

The show will begin at 8:00 p.m. with solo acts by both artists, but the other artist will back up the other, Johnson said.

“People will want to come check this show out,” he said. It will be like a house party with feel-good music and it will be a feel-good time.”
