Norma Jean Guegold, 85, of Ontario, passed away Sunday evening, Feb. 5, 2017, at Arbors at Mifflin in Mansfield. She was born May 24, 1931, in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Norman and Erma (Egan) Zahner.
Norma was a determined lady, generous and loyal to the ones she loved. She had previously worked at Kroger for 42 years at both the Park Avenue and Ashland Road locations.
Norma is survived by her niece, Ann (David) Krash, of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-niece, Sarah Krash, of Cincinnati; brother-in-law, George (Dixie) Guegold, of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Doris Guegold, of Mansfield; and many other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd P.Guegold; brother, Norman Zahner; three brothers-in-law, Robert, Floyd and Howard Guegold; and four sisters-in-law, Diana, Delores, Beverly, Donna Guegold.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Mansfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario, Ohio 44906.
