Marina “Reno” Hall

Marina “Reno” Hall, 67, of Shelby, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 22, 2016 at OhioHealth Shelby Hospital.

Marina was born March 6, 1949 in Garrett, Floyd County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jay and Bernice (Frasure) Spencer. She was a graduate of Willard High School and worked at MTD in Willard for over 30 years. Reno had a green thumb and loved gardening and tending to her flowers.

She was an excellent cook and thoroughly enjoyed caring for and taking her great grandson, Jacob, different places. Marina was a very loving companion, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Reno is survived by her companion of more than 30 years, Oral Oney, of Shelby; a daughter: Kimberly Clark, of Blanchester, Ohio; 3 grandchildren: Jessica Swingle, Sara Clark, and Adam Clark; 2 great grandchildren: Jacob Taylor, whom she and Oral have raised since infancy, and Shane Turner Jr.; seven siblings: Trish Gayheart, Kathy Huddleston, Lynn Ousley, Vicki Spencer, Beth Rowe, Jay Spencer Jr. and Matthew Spencer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Garner Hall, and a sister, Marlene Spencer.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Earl Tackett will officiate and burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
