Veronica L. Jackson, 74 of Galion went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, Sept. 21, 2016, lovingly surrounded by her family.

She was born December 15, 1941 in Ashland, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Everett and Mary (Tackett) Kouns. Veronica is survived by her husband of 51 years, James L. Jackson whom she married on June 4, 1965.

She was a graduate of Russell High School in Russell, Kentucky and worked locally at Wendy’s Restaurant in Galion. Veronica was a member of the Unity Freewill Baptist Church in Galion. She enjoyed crocheting, playing Euchre and was a member of the “The Card Club.”

Veronica is also survived by daughters Mary (Rob Huffine) Bentley, of Marengo, and Jamie King, of Marion; grandchildren Tyler and Nathan Bentley, Ashley Huffine and Aaron King; brother Tom (Caren) Kouns, of Galion, and a nephew Tommy Kouns, of Galion. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Renee Hay.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 S. Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23 with Pastor Dave Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harvest Child Care Ministries at Unity Freewill Baptist in care of the funeral home.
