MANSFIELD — One of the area’s top realty companies will join the movement of revitalizing downtown.
Peter Haring, broker and president of Haring Realty, announced Wednesday the company will begin construction and ultimately open a state-of-the-art meeting and work space later this fall, to be known as “Haring Realty’s Brickyard Welcome Center”.
“Really, this is not just another office or another branch office,” Haring said. “Rather the facility will serve more as a welcome center promoting the community, provide space for small meetings and host special events”. It will be a resource center to guide and assist locals, area visitors, relocating families and commercial investors with their real estate needs. The location will further serve as a workshop space, as well as a drop-in office for Haring Realty team members and their clients.
Ultimately, the facility will serve as gateway retail location to connect with downtown visitors. Haring noted that two of the company’s goals were to promote the quality of life offered in Richland County and champion the renewal and growth of downtown Mansfield.
“I look back from the time I was in high school and grew up in the area, and at no time do I remember people having a more positive sentiment,” Haring said. “I attribute that to small businesses investing and really making the urban area attractive.”
Haring noted that efforts to revitalize Mansfield are similar to those in Wooster, Ashland, Mount Vernon and Newark, all of which are undergoing a downtown renaissance. “As a leading local real estate brokerage in Richland County. I think we have a responsibility to participate in that process,” Haring said.
“We’re using this as a platform to sell the community,” Haring said. “We want people to walk out of those doors thinking, ‘Wow, this is a great place to live.’ And maybe afterwards catch dining and entertainment within walking distance.”
