Tamara J. (Castor) Bassin, 63, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016, following a lengthy illness.
Tamara was born on March 7, 1953, in Mansfield, to Charles C. and Evelyn M. (Patterson) Castor. She was employed for 33 years at Allprints, which later became Fuji Film. Tamara loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, baking, and taking care of plants.
She is survived by two children, Jamie Bassin-Woodard and Joseph Bassin II, both of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Silas Woodard, Brittany Woodard, Haley Hamlin, and Brianna and Jordan Vasquez; and one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jan Castor.
Along with her parents, Tamara was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bassin Sr.
A memorial service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, and sent to the funeral home. Werner Gompf Funeral Services, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield, Ohio, 44905, is handling the arrangements.
