MANSFIELD — Richland Carrousel Park opened 25 years ago on Aug. 31, 1991 to long lines of people wanting to take a ride on the new Carrousel. The Carrousel hasn’t changed a lot since opening but this past weekend, they unveiled the new 25th Anniversary Horse and rides were only 25 cents all day.
To continue the 25th Anniversary Celebration, this Friday, Sept. 2, from 5 – 8 pm, rides will be 25 cents and it is “Super Hero Night.” Wear your favorite costume to get one free ride. To continue the celebration, there is 25 percent off in the Gift Shop on all apparel and all Carrousels through Labor Day. It’s a great time to do a little early Christmas shopping.
The beautiful 25th Anniversary Horse was hand carved by Todd Goings, Carousels & Carvings in Marion. Goings and his staff painted the horse and installed it at the Carrousel. Come see the rest of the beautiful 25th Anniversary Horse and join us at the Carrousel for good old-fashioned family fun.
