Thomas E. Germann Jr., 63, of Ontario, Ohio passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Mansfield, Ohio to Thomas E. Germann Sr. and Thelma L. (Smidley) Thomas on April 19, 1953.
Thomas lived in Mansfield the majority of his life and attended Mansfield City Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Thomas worked for the Ohio State Reformatory as a guard. He then worked in the automotive industry in management and sales.
Thomas loved fishing, the Cleveland Browns, and watching old Western movies. He was very funny and found joy from making others smile.
Thomas is survived by two daughters, April (Adam) Friend, and Rachael Howman; one son, Mark Germann; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma Ballitch, Sharon Hall, and Susan Billingsley; one brother, Art (Debbie) Conklin; numerous nieces and nephews; and the mother of April and Mark, Pam Patterson.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Grace “JoAnn” Mosier.
There will be a private family service held at a later date. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
