Lavonia Washington, 64, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at Oak Grove Manor. She was born April 26, 1952, in Waverly, Tennessee.

Lavonia was a homemaker and unselfishly gave her time and talent to her family and friends. She enjoyed watching old Western movies on television in her free time.

Surviving is her son, Shannon Wells, of Lorain; four grandchildren, Alec Wells, of Norwalk, Tyler Wells, of Sandusky, Alexis Wells, of Lorain and Tianna Wells, of Olmsted Falls; two great-grandchildren, Isiah Wells and Trey Wells; sister, Ruby Jean (Floyd) Skelton, of Ontario; brother, Kenneth (Felicia) Wells, of Centerville, Tennessee; four nieces and nephews, Gary Skelton, of Ontario, Randall Skelton, of Elyria, Ronald (Amber) Skelton, of Ontario, Teka (Kenny) McDaniel, of Mansfield; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Lavonia is preceded in death by her parents, Dee Wells Jr. and Ruby Lee Thompson Wells; brother, John Howard Wells; and grandmother, Margaret Thomas.

There will be no service or visitation at this time. Wappner Cremation Center is privileged to assist the family.
