Sallie C. Mullins, 85, of Galion went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She is now in the presence of Jesus and rejoicing with her many family and friends who have gone on to Heaven before her.

Sallie was born in Bartlick, VA on October 1, 1930 to the late Lott and Eura (Deal) Counts. She married Jack B. Mullins on February 15, 1947 and he survives her.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Crestline. She loved the Lord and faithfully served in her church as a Sunday school teacher, in the choir, and in any other way she could until failing health kept her at home. She faithfully read and studied her Bible and loved Christian music. She loved her church family and they loved her as well.

Sallie loved to paint pictures and make crafts for her home. Many family members and friends have a special painting of hers. She quilted, crocheted, and was a wonderful cook. All the family loved their gatherings and the big meals she prepared for them to enjoy. She was loved by all who personally knew her.

She is survived by her sons Randy (Carol) Mullins, Galion, Tony B. (Sandy) Mullins, Bellville, Jackie (Debora) Mullins, Galion, her six grandchildren Rachel Akers, Matt Mullins, Chantele Mullins, Shannon Mullins, Missy McCleese, Tory Mullins, 23 great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, and her sister Bonnie Mullins, Haysi, VA.

She was preceded in death by Ada Fuller, Edna Lyles, Fred Counts, Mary Mullins, and Evelyn Wallace.

Friends may call Friday, July 15, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Calvary Baptist Church, Crestline, with Pastor John Waterhouse officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery.
