Mark Derrenberger

MANSFIELD: Mark R. Derrenberger went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, June 28, 2016 in the Cleveland Clinic. He was 60.

He was born November 11, 1955 in Ashland, Ohio to parents Larry & Janet (Morris) Derrenberger. After graduating from High School, he earned his degree in chemistry from Purdue University, and studied business at Arizona State University before earning his Masters of Divinity from the Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, California.

A beautiful young lady named Kate Anderson caught his eye and the pair married on May 10, 1997.

While living in Southern California, Mark worked at Insight for Living as well as Baxter and Edward Lifesciences as an IT professional. In later years he used his IT expertise to secure a job as an IT consultant at Precision Solutions.

A dedicated college hoops fan, Mark enjoyed following his beloved Purdue Boilermakers every season, and was very involved with the Purdue Basketball Forum. He also took pleasure in taking walks outside, studying history related to the Civil War and U.S. Presidents, and was intrigued by astronomy and space including NASA. He also enjoyed studying The Bible. A self-proclaimed “geek” Mark could always be found working on his computer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Kate Derrenberger of Delaware; brother Mike & Vicki Derrenberger of Port Ludlow, WA; nephew Jeff Derrenberger; uncle Dwight Derrenberger as well as numerous extended family.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by an aunt Grace Mizer and an uncle Ken Morris.
