MANSFIELD — The area’s Christian churches have a number of services planned in observance of Easter and the Holy Week.
Sunrise service at the Brickyard: On Sunday, the Brickyard stage in downtown Mansfield will feature an Easter sunrise service from 7 to 8 a.m. hosted by pastors Paul Lintern and Kent Joy.
Berean Baptist Church will host Easter Sunday services at 7 a.m. (sunrise service), 9 a.m., and 10:45 a.m. The church is located at 2145 Middle Bellville Rd.
Citi Church is holding a Good Friday “Candlelight with Communion” service on March 25 at 7 p.m. Other services will be held Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11:11 a.m. The church is located at 541 Ohio 97 in Bellville.
Community Good Friday Service: Local churches are partnering to hold a community-wide Good Friday service on March 25 at 7 p.m. at Berean Baptist Church. The worship music will be led by an Awakening band. Childcare will be available for children five and under.
Crossroads Community Church has four Easter services planned for this weekend. Services will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The church is located at 1188 Park Avenue West.
First English Lutheran Church is hosting a Maundy Thursday service on March 24 at 7 p.m., a Good Friday Tenebrae service on March 25 at 7 p.m., an Easter vigil service on March 26 at 8 p.m., and Easter festival worship on March 27 at 10 a.m. The church is located at 53 Park Avenue West.
Heartland Church has Easter Sunday services at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. The church is located at 2505 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd.
Linden Road Presbyterian Church will hold a Maundy Thursday service on March 24 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a prayer labyrinth on March 25 and 26 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. The Sunday service will be at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at 160 S. Linden Rd.
Mansfield First Evangelical Presbyterian Church‘s services include Maundy Thursday on March 24 at 7 p.m. and an Easter Sunday service on March 27 at 10 a.m. The church is located at 399 S. Trimble Rd.
Mosaic Church has a Maundy Thursday service on March 24 at 7 p.m. The church’s Easter services will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 7:30 a.m. (no childcare provided), 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Mosaic is located at 296 Park Avenue West.
Mt. Calvary Baptist Church‘s Easter Sunday service will take place March 27 at 11 a.m. The church is located at 343 N. Main St.
Oasis of Love Church has a children’s concert at 9 a.m. Sunday morning, with a church service to follow at 10:10 a.m. Oasis of Love is located at 190 Chester Ave.
Ontario Christian Fellowship is holding a 9 a.m. and a 10:30 a.m. service on Easter Sunday, as well as a breakfast between services at 9:45 a.m. The church is located at 636 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd.
Passion Week: The Mansfield Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance is organizing Good Friday services on March 25 at noon and 7 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. There will also be a fish fry at the church that day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Resurrection Parish‘s Holy Week services include a Lord’s Supper mass at 8 p.m. on March 24, a Good Friday liturgy at 7 p.m. on March 25, and an Easter vigil at 8:30 p.m. on March 26. The Easter Sunday mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. The church is located at 2600 Lexington Ave.
St. Peter’s Catholic Church will host a Lord’s Supper mass at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. on Good Friday, an Easter vigil at 8 p.m. on Saturday, and Easter Sunday mass at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. (church), 9:30 a.m. (high school auditorium) and 11:30 a.m. St. Peter’s is located at 60 S. Mulberry St.
