MANSFIELD — Circle K held its grand opening Tuesday celebrating its small move to a larger location.

The relocation from the Main Street location — several buildings down — to its current location at 30 Cook Road has already been advantageous, said Bill Bartolomeo, vice president of operations.

“We had an opportunity to invest in the community in a big way with a bigger store with fuel versus our store down the street (which did not have fuel). So that’s exactly what we did. We think we are bringing the newest and best products to Mansfield.”

Brian Koenig, regional director of Circle K for Michigan and Northwest Ohio said the new fuel side helps create a more exciting store because there is more to offer.

The new store, about four times as large as the Main Street location, offers full-service food including pizza and pasta, and competitively priced gas, Koenig said.

“We do surveys to try and stay competitive with the market and we try to see where the market is.”

Mansfield Mayor Tim Theaker spoke at the ribbon cutting ceremony about how important small businesses are to Mansfield’s economy.

“Small business is the building block of our economy,” Theaker said. “Mansfield is a good opportunity for good business. I look forward to the future with (Circle K).”
