MANSFIELD, Ohio – Nominations are welcomed by the Richland Young Professionals for the RYP Business Excellence Awards. Richland Young Professionals in collaboration with Richland Community Development Group will award two specific awards designed to highlight young professional economic excellence in Richland County. These annual awards will be presented at RCDG’s 2016 Economic Excellence Award Ceremony to be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites, Mansfield, on Tuesday, May 3.
“The RYP board is very excited to be offering two awards again this year as part of RCDG’s Economic Excellence Awards. To be able to recognize outstanding Young Professionals in our community with our ‘Community Hero’ and ‘Entrepreneurial Spirit’ awards on a peer to peer level is very meaningful,” said Jessica Gribben, RYP Board Chair. “Can’t wait to see what excellent nominees we get to choose from for 2016!”
Richland Young Professionals have established two unique awards that will be presented to the most deserving nominee based on the following criteria:
Entrepreneurial Spirit Award:
- Richland County business that either started or re-invented itself in the last 24 months.
- Demonstrated effort to support and contribute to the local economy
- Led/Owned by a young professional (21-45 years of age)
Community Hero Award
- Individual, organization, or business that is fully committed to serving the community thereby spurring economic growth and development.
- Demonstrated a significant contribution to foster thriving Richland County.
- Must be a young professional (21-45 years of age) or an organization/business led/owned by a young professional
Nomination forms are available by contacting RYP at Richlandyp@chooserichland.com. Submissions must be received no later than Friday, March 25. The award ceremony will be held at the Holiday Inn- Mansfield on Tuesday, May 3 with a 5:30 p.m. kick-off reception. Reservations for the event are required.
