Lloyd Allen Burton Jr., 67, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Born Oct. 11, 1948 in Ashland, Kentucky. He was the son of Lloyd A. Burton Sr. and Margaret Ruth (Stephens) Burton.
He was a 1966 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School, where he was a member of the ROTC. Lloyd was a longtime factory worker and loved his daily walks, fishing, hunting and Louis L’amore books. He enjoyed “treasure hunting” at garage sales and antique stores and taking bus trips with his nephew, Keegan but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his siblings, Barbara (Mike) Lambert, Nada Hall and Charlie Burton; nieces and nephews, Jessica (Brian) Funk, Kristin Burton and Keegan Burton; great nephew, Lane Hancock; and special friends, Paul and Barb Mills and Rick Shaffer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Burton; a great nephew, Wesley Funk; and a brother-in-law, Terry Hall.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield where a Prayer Service will be at 8 p.m.
