Jessie Mae Lee, 70, passed this life Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 in Ohio Health MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. Lee was born on Sunday, Aug. 19, 1945 in Benoit, Mississippi. Jessie lived in Mansfield for 30 years prior to moving to the Wooster area in 1994 and returned to Mansfield in 2008. She was a homemaker until moving to Wooster where she pursued her comitology license and opened her own shop Lee’s Style and Motion.

While living in Mansfield she was a member of the Community Temple COGIC. In Wooster she united with the True Church House Of Prayer and reuniting with Community Temple upon her return.

Jessie is survived by seven children: Jessie James Stewart, with whom she made her home, Queen (Tony) Edwards, Carnisha Lee, Genetta R. Todd, and Warren Lee, Jr., all of Mansfield, and Nancy (Albert) Jones and Larkisha Newsome, of Wooster; five stepchildren, of Greenville, Mississippi; 49 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren Sr., daughter Minnie, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Community Temple COGIC by her pastor Elder Henry Bradley. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.

The family will also receive friends at the home of Jessie’s grandson James “JJ” Jones, Jr., 389 Auburn St. from 4 to 7 daily till day of service.
