MANSFIELD — Connie Pillich, an Air Force veteran and a state legislator, is the keynote speaker at the 22nd annual K.E. McCartney St. Patrick’s Day Memorial Luncheon.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at the Kenneth E. McCartney Memorial Building in downtown Mansfield, 16 S. Park St. Lunch will be served at noon with the program beginning at 1 p.m.

Pillich spent eight years on active duty in the Air Force and served in support of Operation Desert Storm. She is a three-time recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal.

In the legislature, Pillage earned a reputation as a bi-partisan problem solver. She supported Ohio men and women by introducing bi-partisan legislation to connect veterans to their benefits and helping veterans and their families return to work.

A mother of two, she has also worked on school funding and recently ran for Treasurer of the State of Ohio, where she earned more than 1.3 million votes.
