Daniel Slagle

Daniel J. Slagle, 66, of Ashland, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Hospice of North Central Ohio. Born October 26, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of Joseph H. and Mary I. (Dirlam) Slagle.

He was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School receiving an Auto Tech Certificate from Lima and had worked for A.O. Smith in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. A very religious man, he loved his family very much. He was a hard worker, was known as a “Mr. Fix It” and loved working with his hands.

He is survived by two sons, James Slagle of Crestline and Joe Slagle of Ashalnd; three grandsons, Vincent Slagle and William (Chelsea) Slagle both of Bucyrus and Braxton Slagle of Ashland; a granddaughter, Jacey Slagle of Ashland; a sister-in-law, Tammie Slagle and her children, Dustin Martin and Jessica Slagle all of Ashland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet (Stutz) Slagle and a brother, Tim Slagle.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio.
